I have always been a fan of AC Milan home kits since I first started watching football in the late 80s and early 90s and days of Van Basten et al.
This was the first AC Milan shirt I bought, though not my first Italian club shirt, and I got it just as the team was on their way to their Champions League triumph in 2003. (Though in that final I think they wore their all white away kit which is apparently good luck for Milan in Champion League finals)
I assume this shirt was worn from 2002 until 2004 although I would be happy if anyone can confirm this. As you can see below it features the traditional red and black stripes which were thicker in this shirt than those worn in the early 1990s.
This shirt has a mesh style front, though not at the back, as I think the real players' shirts have. This mesh style was used by Adidas quite a bit around this time and reminds me a lot of the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan. Below you can see the little Climalite tag on the shirt and can see some of the mesh front.
Below is the front of the shirt in full with the mostly black sleeves apart from the three Adidas stripes.
Below is some action of AC Milan in action in the shirt against Ajax in 2003

Liverpool Home Shirt 2008-2010
This shirt from 2008- 2010 is pretty close in style (the traditional three stripes of Adidas along the shoulders and sleeves) to the 2006-2008 shirt but with a much more simple collar which is an improvement.
Adidas also added a red and white checkerboard detail just below the neck of the shirt which I thought was a nice touch.
The back also featured a gold liver bird on the back of the shirt, just above the player's name, which was a nice touch.
As in previous Adidas shirts there was an additional little Adidas logo at the bottom of the shirt.
The numbering and lettering above is from the Champions League kit, again I preferred this style to the Premier League numbers and letters which seemed very dated. Below is a clip of Liverpool FC with the kit in probably one of their best performances in the Champions League.

Letter from Anfield
Not a photo of a shirt for this post but rather a letter I got from a Mr Tom Walsh from Liverpool FC Club Shop about an enquiry I had made a bout a gold and black kit the team had worn against Sheffield United.
I remember I had saw the players wearing the gold and black kit in a newspaper report so had taken to write to the club (with assistance from my Mum!) to see if could get a replica kit.
It's really amazing to think the club took the time to reply to my letter and to give so much back ground information. I like how it is addressed 'Dear Liverpool Supporter..'
As far as I remember this gold and black kit was adopted the following season as an away kit or perhaps a third kit, so I am assuming the game against Sheffield United was in the 1993-94 season. Although if anyone has definite information I would be grateful!
The letter is below in full, about 18 years old now!

DC United T Shirt
Apologies for the photos in this post but I found it really difficult to get a good shot of this DC United T shirt I picked up in the USA. The colour is quite a bright red and it was difficult to get all the detail in the photo.
Below is the DC United crest with a nice some nice faded lines and DC United text
I picked this up at the DC United vs New England Revolution match in 2006, it was a very one sided match but DC United managed not to score despite having loads of chances but it was good to pick up a MLS T shirt.
Highlights of the match are below!

Mexico "5" Adidas Polo Shirt
I picked this shirt up in the USA at an outlet Adidas store. I had never seen it before so I am unsure what it was released for. It features the three stripes of Adidas along the should of the shirt in green and red and unusual location of the Adidas logo on the front pocket. And apologies for the wrinkles on the shirt, I need to iron much more!
Above is the Mexico badge featured on the shirt and below is some detail on the number five which was on the shirt, I am not sure what that symbolises though I am guessing it perhaps is something to do with cinco de mayo?

Liverpool FC Polo Shirt
For my second post it's this Liverpool FC polo shirt which I think is from around 2006 although if anyone knows for certain that would be great! A pretty standard, classic Adidas design with the three stripes on each should and a small Carlsberg logo just above the Liverpool crest.

A big coup for Nike to grab the French national team from Adidas. A nice retro kit too.

When Cup Draws Go Wrong
I have watched countless cup draws on TV over the years and was always amazed that nothing ever went wrong.... until this one from BBC Northern Ireland!
