It seems like ages since I have posted a football shirt so I'm very glad to post this RC Lens away shirt from 2010-11.
As you can see in the photographs below this shirt from Reebok is pretty distinctive with its use of pink sleeves. Although, of course, there are quite a few pink shirts in world football from Everton to Juventus.
The shirt design is very striking and I like the use of the white piping along the sides of the front of the shirt which gives it a solid structure. The pink colour across the shoulders are very distinctive and catches the eye.
The shirt incorporates Reebok's PlayDry technology which (according to the manufacturer's website):
Is a moisture management system that helps keep
you cooler, dryer and more comfortable. This “base layer” moves
moisture, accelerates evaporation, increases ventilation and reduces
abrasion without trapping the body’s thermal energy
I like the little detail of saying "Proud to be 'Lensois'" inside the collar and I love the simplicity of the RC Lens crest.
The shirt sponsor is Invicta France and from my best efforts it seems to be a wood burning stove company, with the Google translation of "poeles a bois" being "wood burning stove".
It is interesting that Reebok used their logo on the shoulders towards the sleeves of the shirt. Although it must be said this logo does not lend itself to this use as easily as the Adidas three stripes or even the Umbro diamonds.
